Below is the last round game between two Malaysian in the recently concluded - The 2011 Dato'Arthur Tan Malaysian Open (DATMO).

IM Lim Yee Weng (2253) vs Mark Siew Kit Tze (1972)
DATMO,  Round 9, 25.8.2011

Analysed by Centaur (Hairulov + Houdini)

1.e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 cxd4 4. c3 Nf6 5. e5 Nd5 6. cxd4 d6 7. Bc4 Nc6 8. O-O Be7 9. exd6 Qxd6 10. Nc3 Nxc3 11. bxc3 O-O 12. Re1 b6 13. Ng5 Bb7?

This normal developing move is actually a serious mistake which Yee Weng however ..

14. Qg4 missed a spectacular sacrifice 14. Nxe6!! Na5 (Black will be punish if he accept the sac for e.g.14... fxe6 ? 15. Rxe6 Qb8 The only move where the black's queen is save from  discover check by  white's rook. 16. Rh6+ !! Kh8  17. Rxh7+ Kxh7 18. Qh5# checkmate)  15. Nxf8 Nxc4 16. Qd3 Bxf8 17. Qxc4 winning material.

14... e5 15. a4 Bxg5 15... exd4 opening the e-file for white's rook will be  a mistake because white can play the knight sacrifice  16. Ne6  Threatening mate on g7 16...Bf6 ( if 16...fxe6 looks note to the previous white's 14th move) 17. Nxf8 winning material.

16. Qxg5 exd4? This caused black to lose material

17. Ba3 Qd8 18. Qf4 Na5 of course 18...Re8 lost to 19.Bxf7+

19. Ba2 dxc3  20. Rad1? What's wrong with this move? Houdini 'told' me that it actually  allows black good counter-attacking  chance. White should just capture the rook with 20. Bxf8  Qxf8 21. Rac1 and the different is after 21...Rac8 white can take the c3 pawn because of a tactical combination  22.Rxc3! Rxc3?? 23.Qxf7+ Qxf7 24.Re8++ checkmate!

20... Qf6 21. Qxf6 gxf6 22. Bxf8 Rxf8 23. Rc1

23...Bc6? Black return the favor. He should have protect his potential passed c-pawn with  23... Rc8!? and white will have some problem to handle black's c-pawn.

24. Rxc3 Now white have no problem to convert his winning advantage.

24... Bxa4 25. Rc7 a6  26. Re4 Bb3 27. Bxb3 Nxb3 28. Rg4+ Kh8 29. Rb4 Nc5 30. Rxb6 Ne6 31. Rcb7

31...Kg7? A blunder in already losing position. I guess  black was in serious time trouble here because he will simply lost a piece after the move.

32. Rxe6 Rc8 33. Re1 1-0
